Hamburg based trombonist, composer and sound artist Felix Mayer dedicates himself to experimental music in its various forms: playing in bands, collectives and ad-hoc groups, realizing video scores and improvisation concepts with multichannel fixed media and sound installations. Additionally, working in interdisciplinary contexts with dance, theater and performance as well as organizing the concert series 'sonopol'. Recent projects include Duo's with trumpeter Birgit Ulher, pianist Hans Schüttler, 'EMN' - a composer-performer ensemble focusing on graphic scores, text and game pieces with Kris Kuldkepp, Heiner Metzger and Christoph Funabashi, as well as an interdisciplinary performance project, 'Everybody Birthdays’ which works on the edges of improvised music, performance and dance.
