Kipppunkt, 8-channel sound installation, transducers, changing rooms, 12 minutes, 2022

Eight exciters drive the walls of the changing rooms in a former department store at their resonant frequencies, turning each cabin into an instrument. Inside a cabin, your body damps the panels; leaning against a wall stops whatever was rattling against it, while a step to either side puts you in a different interference pattern.

Part of the material was recorded in the same cabins and elsewhere in the empty building while the installation was being built.
