Musterstadt audiovisual installation, projections on rotating building panels, Mayer&Schultz · 04:35 · 2024

Motors turn a set of building panels while projections fall on them, opening and closing architectural spaces that visitors move through. The audience influences the movement as well: walking past the panels sets enough air moving to shift them. Two speakers play a composition made mostly from styrofoam — surfaces rubbed against each other and played with a bass bow.

The third project by Mayer&Schultz, made with the writer Marie-Alice Schultz. It works on questions of urban coexistence and builds a fictitious city out of sound, drawing and text.
